Newborn Exams and Vaccines
Georgetown Family Medicine Clinic provides newborn well exams starting at 2 weeks of age, including all immunizations as recommended by the guidelines provided and agreed upon by the American Academy of Family Practice (AAFP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP). We also offer newborn screening for congenital disease, lead screening, and testing for anemia. Both physicians are pleased to be participants in the Vaccines for Families Program. Dr Spitler and Dr Heatly both maintain excellent relationships with local pediatric specialists should the need arise for referral.
